ART CARE
Art lasts when it is loved.
Before each work leaves the studio, we prepare it for its new home with an archival UV-protective fixative and careful packing. The goal is simple: to preserve the surface, the texture and the quiet presence of the piece.
Display
- Keep away from direct sunlight. Soft, indirect light is best.
- Avoid heat sources and air vents.
- Ideal climate: 18–24 °C, with 40–60% relative humidity.
Handling
- Each work carries its own texture: layers of oil and oil pastel that may remain sensitive for months.
- The surface may invite touch, but it is best left to the imagination.
- Even the lightest contact can alter the pigment, changing what was meant to be seen.
- Handle the piece from its edges or by its frame, keeping the painted surface untouched.
Cleaning
- Dust lightly with a soft, dry natural-hair brush.
- Do not use water, cleaners, alcohol or compressed air.
Framing (optional)
- A floating frame or shadow gap protects the edges while allowing the work to breathe.
- Prefer UV-filtering acrylic; keep a small spacer so nothing touches the surface.
Storage
- Store upright, never flat or stacked.
- Use acid-free paper between surfaces.
- Keep in a cool, dry, well-ventilated space. Avoid sealed plastic.
Transport
- Reuse the original packaging when possible.
- Keep the work vertical and cushioned; avoid direct pressure on the surface.
Authentication
- Every original carries an NFC chip and a digital certificate confirming provenance and authenticity.
- Each work is also accompanied by a printed certificate, signed and dated in the studio.
- Keep both with the painting for future reference.
Emergency Care
If the work is ever damaged or exposed to moisture, stay calm and protect it from further change. Keep it in a stable environment and avoid touching the affected area. Photograph the condition, then contact a professional conservator for advice. Do not attempt to clean or repair it yourself. Each mark tells its story best when handled with care.
