OUR STORY

IQUI began with a need to see.

As a child I spent long summer days in my aunt’s studio. She painted porcelain and canvas, forget-me-nots and fine lines of gold. She let me hold the brush. Sometimes I painted over the flowers. Those afternoons stayed quiet beneath the surface.

Years later I returned to that place. From my own Eigengrau, color began to appear. Softly. As if emerging from within.

Each work is an externalization of perception. A dialogue between what is seen and what remains unseen. Oil and oil pastel become the language of this threshold, where vision, memory and silence meet.

Studio

The studio wasn’t meant to exist. It appeared over time, as space and life shifted. Little by little, it became what was needed.

Light is almost always present, even on grey days. The table carries layers of pastels, brushes, and traces of gesso. Some days the work moves, other days it simply rests.

There’s life moving around, quiet but constant.
